Some schools have a student pledge. For example:

As a Taekwondo practitioner, I will:

• Train both my mind and body through Taekwondo.

• Be a courageous opponent against untruth.

• Promote a friendly relationship among all people.

• Obey the rules of Taekwondo and my instructors.

• Attempt to achieve:

  • Self-Control. I will not lose my temper.

  • Modesty. I will not brag or boast.

  • Perseverance. I will continue even when I have no energy left.

  • Indomitable Spirit. My spirit cannot be broken or overcome.
