The following is a sample constitution of the type used by a school that is established as a club rather than as a business:
The name of this organization is Taekwondo School, hereafter referred to as School. School will be self-sustaining and is not an instrumentality of another organization. It operates only with the consent of the School Head Instructor. Operation of School is contingent on compliance with the requirements and conditions of all applicable rules and regulations.
The purpose of School is to help the dojang maintain proper operation, by supporting numerous activities which build, support, and maintain the morale and welfare dojang members and their families.
Membership is voluntary and open to all dojang members.
Membership dues are as determined by the Executive Committee.
Membership and related actions that are based upon race, color, creed, age, religion, gender, or national origin are prohibited.
An Executive Committee will govern the operation of School It will consist of a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
The Executive Committee will be elected from the general membership by the general membership at an annual meeting to be held in January of each year.
Duties of the officers are outlined in the School By-Laws.
The School Head Instructor will oversee the overall operation of School and will insure compliance with the Constitution and By-Laws.
