Personal Combat

Fight

There are four types of personal combat depending on the moral and legal behavior of the combatants:

An unprovoked attack that results in injury or death of another person. This behavior is both morally and legally inexcusable and reprehensible.

A provoked attack by use of insult or contemptuous attitude that results in injury to the retaliating person. This behavior is also morally and legally inexcusable.

A defense against an unprovoked attack that results in injury or death to the attacker. This behavior may be acceptable both morally and legally depending on the circumstances.

A defense against an unprovoked attack that results in no injury to either person. This is the most desirable behavior, both morally and legally.
