TaskMaster itself is free; it is the UserKey that TaskMaster needs to operate that is purchased.

Cost of purchasing a UserKey

Cost of UserKey depends upon the active student limit needed by the school and the total number of student records. Cost for each UserKey level is shown in the chart below. Cost to upgrade a UserKey to a higher level is the cost difference between the cost of the current level and cost of the desired level.  

The L0 UserKey is shipped with the free trial version of TaskMaster.

The L1 UserKey is free upon registration. It is primarily for instructors who only teach a small number of students but would still like to be able use a software program such as TaskMaster to manage their students.

Extra equipment costs

Extra equipment costs range from nothing for a school that enters attendance manually to about $200.00 USD for a school that enters attendance by scanning student ID cards.

Other costs that may be incurred if ID card scanning is used:

  • Bar code scanner. $50-$200 (depends upon type of scanner; one-time cost).

  • ID card pouches. $0-$50 (depends upon whether they are used and the number needed; one-time cost since they are reusable).

  • ID card color dots. $0-$20 (depends upon whether they are used; one-time cost since initial purchase will last for years).

  • ID card display. $0-$50 (depends upon whether it is used and how it is constructed; one-time cost).

  • ID card drop box. $0-$10 (depends upon whether it is used and how it is constructed; one-time cost).
