Another major function of TaskMaster is the ability to take care of all the administrative tasks involved with planning, preparing, and processing a rank or instructor testing; the only thing left for the owner to do is conduct the actual testing. The following are some of the testing tasks handled by TaskMaster:

When auto testing is used

MID CYCLE

  • Review/edit student progress calls. Progress calls are telephone calls to, or meetings with, students to inform them of their progress toward the next rank. Progress calls are an important tool in encouraging all students, but the calls are essential for insuring lower rank students stay with the program. TaskMaster tracks progress calls made during the current testing cycle and reminds the user of the:

    • Quarter Way Point of cycle. Use these calls to praise progress.

    • Half Way Point of cycle. Use these calls to praise progress and suggest improvements.

    • Three-Quarter Way Point of cycle. Use these calls to praise progress and point out problems that may prevent a recommendation for rank testing.

  • Review history of previous testings.

PLANNING

  • Planning checklist. Print checklist to use to insure everything is completed on time, such as attaining testing date and location, chairs, judges, etc.

  • Set up testing parameters. Set up testing parameters, such as date, time location, etc.

  • Black belt interview form. Print interview form to use for those testing for black belt.

  • Student eligibility. Use TaskMaster to check student eligibility for testing to insure they are ready for testing.

  • Expired instructor certifications. Print list of expired certifications.

  • Identify possible instructor testees. Use TaskMaster to identify those who may be testing for instructor.

PREPARATION

  • Print notification poster. Print poster to notify students of testing date, location, etc.

  • Notification email. Send testing notification email to students.

  • Print rank pre-testing forms. Print forms used to pre-test students to insure they are ready to test for rank.

  • Print instructor pre-testing forms. Print forms used to pre-test students to insure they are ready to test for instructor certification.

  • Registration sheets. Print registration sheets to use to resister students for testing.

  • Identity rank testees. Use TaskMaster to identify students who will be testing for rank.

  • Identity instructor testees. Use TaskMaster to identify students who will be testing for instructor certification..

  • Print not registered. Print registration sheets just for those who have not yet registered.

  • Print not paid. Print registration sheets for those who have registered but who have not yet paid for the testing.

  • Review testees. Use TaskMaster to review those who will be testing.

  • Export list of regular testees as Excel file. If needed, export list of regular testees to desktop as an Excel file that may be emailed.

  • Print projected belts needed. Assuming all testees pass their tests, print list of belt colors and sizes that will be needed for the award ceremony.

  • Print sparring equipment needed. Assuming all testees testing for the rank where sparring equipment is required (rank is set by the user) pass their tests, print list of sizes of sparring equipment that will be needed on hand for purchase by students.

  • Print early rank scoring sheets. Print rank scoring sheets to be used for students who, due to special circumstances, must test before the testing date.

  • Print regular rank scoring sheets. Print rank scoring sheets to be used at the testing.

  • Print late rank scoring sheets. Print rank scoring sheets to be used for students who, due to special circumstances, must test after the testing date.

  • Print instructor scoring sheets. Print instructor scoring sheets to be used at the testing.

  • Print board breaking score sheets. Print list of board colors and sizes along with breaking techniques required for each testee.  Sheets are used by instructors who are managing breaking stations.

  • Judges meeting form. Print form to be used in judges meeting after the testing when fate of testees is determined.

  • Financial report. If required, create a financial report on the testing to send to national office or certifying organization.

  • Dot change list. Colored dots are used on student ID cards to identify rank. Print list of student ID cards that need dot colors changed due to results of the rank testing.

STAR

STAR (Students That Achieve Results) is an attendance award system that allows junior students to place stick-on star on their belts to signify their attendance for the previous cycle.

  • Set up STAR parameters (if used).

    • Age at which to stop using STAR.

    • Star color used for each STAR level.

    • Minimum attendance credits needed during cycle to earn each star.

  • View STAR awardees.

SPECIAL AWARDS

Awards to present for anything you want to recognize.

  • Print special award certificates for award ceremony.

AWARD CEREMONY

  • Print belt colors and sizes needed for awards ceremony.

  • Print list of rank awardees for award ceremony.

  • Print list of STAR awardees.

  • Print list of instructor awardees.

NATIONAL TESTING

  • Print national testing signup sheets.

  • Enter results of national rank testing.

When manual testing is used
