If you want a link posted in TKDTutor.com, then click the Submit a Link button on the link page. TKDTutor will review the site and, if it appears to be a legitimate site, TKDTutor will post the link. By posting the link, TKDTutor.com is neither certifying that the site or the organization, school, or instructor is legitimate nor recommending the site to its readers, it is merely indicating that the site has been visited and it appears legitimate. There is so much misinformation, misrepresentation, fraud, and general BS in the marital arts that you cannot be sure of anything. Any definite TKDTutor recommendations will be so noted.

Link Submission Policy

• Many readers trust what appears in TKDTutor.com and they value the opinion of TKDTutor, so TKDTutor will only post links to sites that TKDTutor feels confident are legitimate sites.

• TKDTutor is the sole arbitrator for what is posted on TKDTutor.com.

• TKDTutor.com is totally independent and self-sufficient and neither relies upon, or ask for, support from any organization, school, or web site.

• TKDTutor.com is neither obliged to nor influenced by any organization, group, or individual.

• TKDTutor is a member of the Taekwondo America organization but is not a part of the organization hierarchy and TKDTutor.com is not influenced by the organization.

• TKDTutor will reply to all link requests:

• Accepted request: reply will indicate the link has been accepted and posted.

• Rejected request: If you cannot emotionally deal with the prospect that your link request may be rejected, then do not submit a request.

  • The standard reply to a rejected request will be:
    "TKDTutor has reviewed the web site at the link you submitted and has decided not to post the link on TKDTutor.com. Upon request, TKDTutor will sent you details about the decision."

  • If your link request is rejected, you may submit more information and ask for a reevaluation. TKDTutor makes mistakes and will correct them when they are identified.

Criteria Used to Evaluate Legitimacy For Organization Links

• If an organization is large enough to consider itself a state, national, or international organization, then it should have its own domain name and not be a sub domain in some internet provider such as AOL, GeoCities, or Yahoo.

  • Size of the site or organization does not matter; however:

  • A local organization should have more schools than just those of the president of the organization.

  • A state organization should have a school in more than one city in the state.

  • A national organization should have a school in more than one state, province, commonwealth, etc. of the nation.

  • An international organization should have a school in more than one nation.

• Quality of the site does not matter as long as the site looks professional. A legitimate organization should have a professionally designed web site, or at least appear professionally designed.

• The address, phone number, email, etc. of the organization should be listed.

• The purpose, history, and policy of the organization should be listed.

• All major officials in the organization should be listed, along with their resumes.

• All schools in the organization should be listed.

• What you receive for membership in the organization should be listed.

• Membership certificate should not display the persons rank unless the person is separately ranked by the organization. Listing the rank may be construed as an organizational endorsement of rank legitimacy.

• Rank should only be issued by the organization to people who have attained rank through an organization school. If an organization is offering to issue rank to people from other organizations, the rank should only be honorary and the certificate indicate such. If the organization appears to be a "certificate mill," the link request will be rejected.

• Selling something on the site is not a problem, but is the site is merely used as a means to sell something, the link request will be rejected. TKDtutor exists to promote the martial arts, not to promote martial art organizations.

• If the site promotes some unconventional, illogical, or otherwise odd style or theories, the link request may be rejected.

• All instructors in the school should be listed.

• Selling something on the site is not a problem, but is the site is merely used as a means to sell Something, the link request will be rejected. TKDtutor exists to promote the martial arts, not to promote martial art schools.

• If the site promotes some unconventional, illogical, or otherwise odd style or theories, the link request may be rejected.
